(WLOS News 13) There’s a new look on remote learning in Asheville. Just recently, the school system launched Positive Opportunities Develop Success, or PODS. News 13 first reported on the PODS a few weeks ago when all the logistics were still being worked out.
There are now nine open across Asheville. Because of COVID-19, Asheville City Schools is following Plan C right now, which means classes are entirely remote. For some families, this makes it difficult for students to be successful. It’s why the school system decided to create the PODS. The PODS are a safe, free place where students can go to complete daily, remote assignments.
